CTC means "Crush, Tear, Curl" (sometimes also called “Cut, Tear, Curl”). In the CTC method, Black Tea leaves are run through a series of rollers. The rollers have hundred of teeth that Crush, Tear and Curl the leaves which ultimately produce small and hardball made of Tea. However, this CTC method is different from standard Tea manufacturing, in which Tea leaves are simply rolled into strips.
